In this workshop companion parrot owners learn basic methods and tools to teach their birds using positive reinforcement. The workshop will cover:

•    The basics of training- how does it work?
•    How to read and interpret bird body language
•    Solving behavioral problems
•    Training basic behaviors
•    Training to benefit the health and welfare of your bird
•    Training simple and advanced behaviors for fun and more

Workshop includes lecture, video, interactive activities, written materials and live demonstrations on how to train behaviors from start to finish. An educational and fun experience is our goal. Bring your questions! This workshop encourages an open forum to analyze all your companion parrot behavior challenges and goals.

$50.00 per person if paid in advance (by August 1)
$75.00 per person at the door

Who is hosting this event?
The workshop is hosted by Priscilla Sivanish with help from For NorthWest Birds.

Why does it cost so much?
Your admission covers lunch, the presenter's fees, and the cost of the room rental. If there are any monies made above and beyond the costs of the workshop they will be donated to the local rescues.

Can I bring my bird?
There will be a couple birds there for presentation purposes. Unfortunately we cannot have any other birds present at the workshop, so please leave your feathered kids at home.

In return you will receive a letter in the mail confirming receipt of your admission fee.

What if I sign up and then cannot go?
We cannot give refunds; however, you can find someone else to go in your place if you are unable to attend. If this happens please let us know so we can change our attendance list.

What happens if the event is cancelled?
If we have to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances everyone will receive a full refund.
